Designing Consistency Across a Growing Product Ecosystem
Supported Kisi's cloud-based access control platform through the creation of product assets, packaging, installation materials, and visual systems that helped create a more cohesive experience across customer and installer touchpoints.
During my time at Kisi, the company continued expanding its presence within the access control and smart building industry, earning recognition including the IoT Evolution Product of the Year Award (2016). As the platform evolved, maintaining consistency across physical and digital experiences became increasingly important to supporting product adoption and customer confidence.

Kisi's product experience extended far beyond the software interface. Customers interacted with hardware, packaging, installation guides, marketing materials, and onboarding resources before ever accessing the platform itself.
As the product ecosystem expanded, there was an opportunity to create greater consistency across these touchpoints while helping customers and installation partners better understand product functionality, setup requirements, and brand messaging.
The challenge wasn't designing a single screen or workflow. It was ensuring the experience felt connected regardless of where customers encountered the product.

As the platform evolved, maintaining consistency across physical and digital experiences became increasingly important to supporting product adoption and customer confidence.
As Kisi scaled its cloud-based access control platform, the company needed supporting assets that could communicate product value clearly while reinforcing a consistent brand experience. My work focused on creating visual assets that supported customers and installation partners throughout the setup journey — from packaging and product imagery to installation collateral and marketing materials. The goal was a product ecosystem that felt intentional and connected at every touchpoint, whether a customer was opening a box, reading a setup guide, or logging into the platform for the first time.

Designing Beyond the Screen
Designing Beyond the Screen
The Kisi experience began long before users logged into the platform. Hardware arrived on-site, installers configured devices, and customers interacted with physical materials throughout deployment and setup.
My role included supporting the creation and preparation of assets that helped reinforce the brand while improving clarity throughout those moments. From packaging and installation materials to product imagery and marketing assets, the goal was to create a seamless experience across both physical and digital touchpoints.
By considering the broader customer journey, the work helped create stronger alignment between the product, the brand, and the people responsible for implementing it.
